This was something that I made for myself. I love imagery transferred to cloth. For this bustier, I used 1950's automobile ads.

Made for Brian Goggin, the sculptor. The opening took place in Palo Alto. Brian requested that everyone come in Greek or Roman costumes. His sculpture was a statue of a woman holding a front loading washing machine over her head, from which water poured. The sculpture was a fountain.
Made for Phil Bewley. I handpainted the red checks on the overalls and built the hamburger.

This is a reversible robe (other side made of hemp cloth) for Burning Man 1999. The theme that year was time. The clock on the back of the robe is a melted, Dali-esque clock with moveable hands.
